This new operator uses a solution with double DC motor in series model GR63x55 – 40Vdc and
GR63x25 – 24Vdc with optical encoder and SG80 gearbox. We decided to focus on the most
reliable product on the market that can ensure maximum performance.
The EN 16005 standard for doors used on escape routes says: “The safety part of the circuit shall
have a PL “d” according to EN13849-1. This is respected when the door is opened in the direction
of escape (normally the exit).
POWERCORE ER140 control unit works with the GR63x55 motor, the Back-up control unit monitors
and supervises the movement of the doors and is activated only as a “passive” safety protection, it
works only for emergency.
In normal operation, the Back-up section performs a test cycle every 24 hours (two opening cycles),
in case of night lock (LOCK mode) the test cycle is not performed.
After restoring normal operation after closing at night (switching from LOCK to SAFE), the door
performs a test cycle.
Due to power failure, the system performs a new test as soon as power is restored.
